Each team plays a 82 game regular season schedule with 41 home and 41 road games. Each team plays 4 games ( two home, two away) against every team in its division and two games (one home, one away) against every team in the other conference. Each team in the Midwest Division plays four games ( two home, two away ) against every team in the Pacific Division and vice-versa. Because there is an extra team in the Eastern Conference, each team in the Atlantic Division plays four games ( two home, two away )  against six teams and three games against two teams in the Central Division, while each team in the Central Division plays four games against five teams and three games against two teams in the  Atlantic Division.
